Osprey Sightings at Silverdale Golf Club
For the second year in a row, we have reports of Ospreys being sighted on the course. This is not surprising as the photograph opposite was taken recently at nearby Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve.
It is assumed that the breeding pair currently nesting at Foulshaw Moss Nature Reserve (a few miles to the north of us) enjoy fishing at the various pools at Leighton Moss and then fly over our fairways (typically 8th, 9th and 10th) on their way back to the nest.
Cumbria Wildlife Trust currently have a webcam set up at the nest on Foulshaw Moss. You can see it by clicking here.
