Corporate Day 2022

60 competitors turned up on a super weather day to play in our Corporate Day. After coffee and bacon buns they set off to their allotted tees and awaited the hooter for the "shotgun" start. The course was in tip-top condition and we received many compliments, especially about our greens.

Once the golf was completed we all returned to the clubhouse for refreshments and eventually took our seats at our tables. The prizegiving was completed before we started our meal with Mr. Captain doing the honours. In first place with 94 points was the Casson Elite Team (main photo). There were 3 teams on 86 points and one missed out on a prize (the unlucky team included Mr. Captain), but 2nd place went to FMB (Financial Management Bureau) and in 3rd place were SJA Building and Property Services.

Nearest the pin prizes were awarded for each of the par 3s, and these were won by Will Bowe, Anthony Leonard, Andrew Bargh and Roger Jackson.

It was then time for our meal and our caterers LMG Catering gave us a lovely carvery, followed by a yummy sweet and then a tasty cheese board. Many thanks to Linda and her team for looking after us so well.

Our thanks also go to the Friends of Silverdale Golf Club - their volunteers worked hard to make sure the day was a great success. Roll on 2023!
