Visitor Feedback on our New Winter Tees

Since we invited visitors to try out our new winter tees, quite a few have! One of our members, David Gardner told us what two of his guests thought:

1. impressed with how the course is coping with the wet spell

2. Would like to see our winter tees on their course.

3. Impressed how the tees have been built into the course particularly with the sleeper steps

4. They noted how the course was not shortened by the winter tees and if anything lengthened. This is a great decision by the Club.

5. Noted the improved pathways.

6. Overall quality of the green keeping noted. Tidy, good winter greens etc.

7. Friendly place and good welcome from Edwina and David.

"My guests are experienced and knowledgeable golfers and it was good to see how positive they were."

Other visitors have also given feedback on social media:

"Fantastic course. Some great challenging holes. Some great views as well. 16th tee got to be one off the hardest tee shots. Hopefully be back there next year for our family golf trip"

"I played last Sunday, the course the tees and the greens were in great condition. Well done to all. It was nice to play on a well looked after course."

"Always a great and different course to play. You always feel very welcome as well which makes coming back a no brainer,"

"One of the best winter tees I've played on. Good job everyone."

"Played yesterday fantastic course, greens and fairways in great condition. Well done to all the staff"

"Having just returned to Silverdale Golf Club as a visitor for today’s winter open I would like to congratulate the members who have with the help of the green staff installed the new winter tees. In the time I’ve been a member and since I left this installation is without question the most positive step forward by the Club and the best thing that has been actioned in the past 15 years at the Club. Well done to everyone involved."
